Last Minute Win for Montana State Over Calgary
The Montana State Bobcats beat the Calgary Dinos on Saturday afternoon in Calgary, but it was a hard-earned 77-70 victory. 24 points from Junior guard, Tyler Hall (Rock Island, Illinois) led both teams and gave MSU the edge they needed. A pair of late turnovers and a missed lay-up cost Calgary, who were within 3 with 2 minutes left.
The ‘Cats enjoyed a 43% to 33% FG shooting margin over the home team, and MSU won the rebounding as well, 46-39. Coach Brian Fish carefully doled out the playing minutes very evenly, as he gave his whole line-up a good look.
The Dinos, with an 8-man rotation, got an impressive double-double from rookie wing man, Mason Foreman (Winnipeg), who claimed 14 rebounds and added 10 points. 4th year forward, Lars Schleuter (Ulm, Germany) led Calgary scorers with 15 points, point guard Max Eisele (Ulm, Germany) added 11, and 3 Dinos had 10 apiece.
